Poop training trouble!

Anyone have any advice on helping my 2.5 year old son learn to tell me BEFORE he poops his underwear?  He has been pee trained for several months now, but rarely tells me when he needs to poop

I would keep track of when he normally does poop.  Then take him to the restroom at the same time everyday is possible. For DD it was usually in the morning and one before afternoon nap.  We also sand poop songs....she thought it was fun.
