I just have a few weeks left until baby #2 arrives and I just have NO energy. I get up and tend to baby #1, but have no energy/desire to clean house, make dinner, get a shower, etc! Anyone have any helpful tips on getting motivated to get off of the couch??
Re: Need help getting motivated
Sorry, no help here, but I am in the same exact boat. I feel very unmotivated and find it hard to do very simply things these days. The only thing I consistently manage to do is take care of DS1. I keep hoping that the urge to "nest" hits me! Good luck!
If you can afford it hire a house cleaning service. I was 1000000x more tired in my last Tri than I ever have been with with 2u2.
This is me, too! I'm thinking it's just to be expected since we're pregnant while trying to keep up with little ones!
My advice? Have DH/SO make dinner and do basic cleaning if he's available. Let the house go until you're really close to delivery, then give it a really good cleaning so you come home from the hospital to a nice clean house. If you're like me, you still won't feel motivated, but it sure is nice to come home to a clean house. Or, hire a maid if you can.
Spend your time now caring for LO and resting. Oh, but keep showering, because I think feeling clean makes the misery of third tri more bearable.
The one chore I continue to do that my DH doesn't is dishes. I either do them first thing in the morning when I have the most energy, or I take a nap in the afternoon when the kids do, so I have a bit more energy to do dishes at night after they go to bed.
