It's Kairi's birthday!!!

 

Age - 1 yr!!!

Milestones?  She is standing on her own, but not yet walking.  She loves making random sounds, and seems to be saying "this" for "yes"

STTN?  She was for the last month, but then last night was up 4 times - I think she was thrown off by her birthday party yesterday and her afternoon nap getting messed up

Favorite toy? She loves things she can push around (wagon, walkers, cardboard boxes)

 Age - 1 year and 9 days

Milestones?  Walking like a champ, getting good at running and hopping. Says "kuh" for kitty, "puh" for puppy, mama, dada and Hi!

STTN?  Yes, we've been very lucky, she's always been a wonderful sleeper.

Favorite toy? She got this little birthday Elmo that says birthday related things when his belly is pushed, she loves that. She also is loving on all her stuffed animals lately, more than ever before!

Age: 11.5 months

Milestones: CRAWLING! Finally. And she loves to pull herself up to her knees on the coffee table so she can reach things. She has pulled to standing there too, but got stuck, so hasn't tried it since. 

STTN: Once. 

Favorite Toy: Anything of DS' that she can get ahold of, but she loves her little Move and Crawl Ball.

 Age: 1 year + a little bit

Milestones: She's been cruising for a while, but she's starting to get brave and let go for a few seconds now. She's getting better at her donut stacker thingy and her shape sorter. We're completely transitioned to milk. I think that's it...

STTN: Yes.

Favorite toy: I don't think she has ONE. She seems to like a new toy she got for her bday- a Vtech Touch & Teach Turtle.

Happy Birthday, Kairi!!!

I'm here running the festival, so it's been CRAZY. Since we're using sound equipment from home, Jared (and Liam) came to work with me at 7:30 a.m. to set it up, then, Jared is dropping Liam off to me so he can teach at 3:30, and Liam and I will go to the salmon dinner put on by the tribe, and Jared will meet us for the pow-wow at 6 p.m. which goes until 9 p.m. So, I'm putting in a 12+ hour work day with Liam here for 6 hours of it with me. WHEW! :-)

Of course, last year, I gave birth the first day of the festival. So, today MUST be easier than that!

Age - He turned 1 on 4/4.

Milestones?  He not only walks but can RUN. It's crazy! He still only says, Mama, Dada, Dog, and Kitty, but that seems to be pretty normal. He loves pointing, waving, and clapping. Every time I hold him in front of the mirror, he points at our reflections, waves, and claps. We call it the "Mommy and Liam Show." I know. I'm a dork.

STTN?  It depends. He still likes to night nurse once in the middle of the night when we co-sleep.

Favorite toy? He has a dump truck that he LOVES. At the Children's Museum, he already learned how to climb up the slide and go down on his own, but he goes down on his tummy. He can't figure out how to sit first. See video:

Age - He will be one on Friday!

Milestones? He is so close to officially walking... He takes 7 to 8 steps and then decides he can get there faster crawling! He can stand up on his own without pulling up on the couch and he has learned to climb onto the couch. Not really talking much. We think he can say mom and dad and I swear he says yeah.  

STTN? Yes, Finally! He goes down at 8:00 p.m. and wakes up between 7:00- 8:00

Favorite Toy? He loves his push toy, his music cube, puzzles, and trucks!

Look how big our babies are getting! This time last year we were either still pregnant or cuddling our squishy newborns! We have come a long way ladies
