Even the energy of the second trimester can't help

i have had much more energy since hitting the second trimester.  it has been absolutely great to feel like getting up, cooking, cleaning, unpacking, etc...  but then i started my longterm sub job.  my sister had her baby two weeks ago, so i have been subbing in her first grade class fourty hours a week.  but i already had a full time sales job, which is where dh and my insurance is through.  now im doing fourty hours of subbing and thirty hours of sales each week to fulfill my commitment to my sister and keep my insurance.  anyone else overworking themselves since getting their second tri energy back?  i enjoyed it for a little bit, not i feel like im back in the first tri again...  so tired.  only four more weeks...  i will survive...  hopefully...

  • Wow - those are a lot of hours.  2nd tri energy is grea,t but I over-did it this weekend and am home today.  I hope these next four weeks fly by for you!

  • I can not say I have experienced the 2nd trimester energy. I work four 10 hours days and have a 1 & 3 year old at home. Whatever energy I find is sucked out by them. They are at the in-laws this morning and boy did I enjoy my morning to relax, even if it was only 2 hours. Those days don't exist anymore.
  • Ok you are super woman!  I teach and I can't imagine having to do a second job right now!  I am putting in extra hours because we are tutoring a lot to get ready for state testing next week, but still now working nearly as much as you.

I say give yourself a break the next few weeks from overdoing it at home until you are done subbing:)

  • I did this to myself in first tri and I was overdoing it so much my doctor threatened to put me on bedrest. I started getting high blood pressure and terrible headaches. I am in grad school full time and work full time, plus I have to drive two hours once every month to school. I would work up to 12 days in a row. For work days I have to work 12 hours and then for school I would work between 8 and 10 hours. So I just had to really push to get to bed early and drink enough water. Now I'm graduating in 2 weeks and my second tri energy is already here and there is nothing to do but clean. So cleaning I have done :) Take it easy though. Make sure you are getting enough rest.

  • im hardly super woman, lol.  i am very tired a lot of the time, and sometimes get very testy with my students.  im sure you other teachers can attest to that.  i just have commitment that must be fulfilled, so thats what im doing.  i told my doctor about my work schedule coming up and he kind of shook his head at me, but didnt tell me it was too much or anything.  didnt even advise extra resting or anything.  so i suppose i will survive.  by the time i see him again i will be done with the subbing job, so even if it does send my blood pressure through the roof, i wont know until after the fact when its coming back down.  praying for a quick four weeks.  also hoping you ladies find your second trimester wind soon.
