We've only done yolks so far. I forgot to ask the pedi if he can have the white now too but he did say he can have any food now as long as it wasn't something he could easily choke on like hot dogs. So I guess I could try the whole egg soon.

My pedi is old school when it comes to eggs -- he says none (nor any foods containing eggs) til one. We can't wait to give DD her first pancakes and eggs for her first birthday breakfast!
ETA: That is, no egg whites til age one. But I haven't felt the need to mess with yolk-only recipes. We're just going to wait til she's one and can have the whole thing.
We tried yolk and he wasn't crazy. We had allergy testing done because we had trouble with milk but all came up negative. we gave her scrambled eggs yesterday and she loved them. I was happy to be able to get some protein in her.
The first time I scrambled a whole egg and he didn't eat any of it. Then I remembered that a lot of people say just the yolk until 1 so I freaked out and wouldn't give him anything with whole egg. However, after more research and more people over here calming me down that especially in baked items and meatballs, etc. whole egg is OK I've given whole egg. No issues!
ETA: He's only had whole egg in meatballs and pancakes so far, but this weekend he'll get whole eggs scrambled after I buy some more. I ran out after baking so many cakes last week!
Re: Eggs question
We have only done yolks, but am planning on scrambling in the egg whites soon.
We asked pedi before giving any eggs and she said just give the whole thing.

Whole egg, but he won't eat them scrambled. He likes the hard boiled or fried over hard.
This with a little cheese. He loves them!

We did scrambled egg yolks from about 7 months to 9 months. Then we just did whole scrambled eggs after the go ahead from our pedi.
C loves them... it is seriously one of her 3 favorite things ever.
