Eli's never got very bad but basically did a combo of the 2 previious posters.....brushed his head witha soft bristle brush that had baby oil on it...lol
1 chemical and 1 loss at 9 weeks prior to DS IVF #1 1/10-transfered 2 blasts- DS born 10/2010
Trying for # 2 since 2012. 2 failed FETS 1 failed IUI.
I used a baby oil and would scratch it softly w my finger. Make sure to find a baby oil that is not mineral oil based...other natural oils are much better. I've read you can use olive oil, just depends on if you are ok with her smelling like it! Good luck!

I tried all the above suggestions to no avail... What finally worked was washing her hair with a dime sized dollop of head and shoulders daily for about 3 days.

I ignored it until a few months ago with my 3.5 year old. At some point I got tired of it. I put regular oil in his hair and worked it into the area, brushed the stuff out with a fine tooth comb, this process took a few hours. It was all gone in one shot. We just did bath time like normal. I was amazed by how much "stuff" came off.
The theory here is to leave it alone. BUT after about 6 months I got tired of it and used oil. It didn't clear up completely right away but it was much better.
Mustela shampoo for newborns, online from Sephora. I did the oil and comb, etc but it the cradle cap seemed to keep coming back, DS was 2 and still had it, the shampoo took care of it, and it smells nice and it is gentle. I still use it on DS because I like the smell.

Ditto on the Head and Shoulders. Worked like charm.

I took a really soft (baby or toddler) toothbrush and put some Selsium Blue on it then made circular motions on the spots. Then let it sit for about 2 min. before rinsing it off. Using the soft brush helps to loosen up what is currently on the scalp and leaving the selsium blue sit for a couple of minutes helps to keep it from coming back. It always worked like a charm.
