SOOOO, last night I was tired, but DH and I haven't had sexy time in over a week.... We made an executive decision to put the kids to be 45 minutes early so we had time (and energy) to get things going. Kids were down by 7:15, we had a blast (no pun intended) and were ready to go to sleep ourselves by 9:15. I know if the kids went to bed at 8 it wasn't happening, 45 minutes made the biggest difference. Of course we aren't going to do this every night, but it might be a Saturday night thing! So my question is has anyone done this?! Or am I a bad mom for hurrying the kiddos to bed?

Re: Since we are so slow.... CLICKY POLL (possible TMI)
I voted SS...I wouldn't do it (because I only get a few hours with her in the evening as it is) but it isn't wrong.
Of course, our sex life still hasn't returned to normal. I blame this on DH's working third shift. And it seems I'm the one that has to make the first move. I have, on occasion, taken to telling him that when I have got her to sleep for the night, he better be upstairs and naked when I leave her room.
We did sexy time today durning a nap! But i didn't put her down to do it. It just happened. I don't think it is wrong!
I've never put him down to have sexytime. But when is is down i do suggest it!
SS. We put our little ones to bed between 8:30 and 9 (they are late nappers), but DH and I are usually up until 11 as it is working on things in seperate areas of the house. The fact that we have all that time doesnt make a difference...lol.

brilliant!
i'm also lacking in desire at the moment, but you do what you have to do!
I voted SS because we are usually up for a couple hours after she goes down anyway. We will just wait until she's asleep at bedtime/naptime.
I'm the bad mommy who has done it while she was playing on the floor, in the swing next to the bed (when younger), and while she was awake in her crib. If all of a sudden in the middle of the day we feel like doing it we usually just stick her in her crib.
Most of the time we just wait until she goes to sleep for the night.
This. I didn't think it was worthy of the "No, that's just wrong" option though, so I was SS for the same reasons.
