No Baby Shower for Me

Just wanted to share--

I've had a bit of a rough week, what with learning that the baby is underweight and just being stressed about things in general. For weeks, I've been kind of getting the feeling that my church was going to throw me a surprise baby shower. This morning I found out I was wrong!

We're moving soon, so instead of buying us gifts, the church members all gave us gift cards-- over $700! It was so sweet and such a nice end to a crappy week. I'm excited that I get to shop for my own gifts and get things we'll really need. I had been stressed over buying a few items that we'll need now that we know that the baby is so tiny and I just felt really blessed and wanted to share!

Wow that was wonderful of them! Congrats on that! Sorry baby is underweight. I assume Dr told you what you can do, if anything. Or at least will be ready to give him/her the extra care they may need at birth.
