I'm not sure if this is breaking any rules or if people don't feel comfortable answering?? But, just wondering if anyone lives in/around Rochester, NY??

I have been unable to connect with any support group. I have contacted 3 different resources and no groups are currently going on.  Just feeling frustrated.

Sorry this is so frustrating for you.  I don't mind saying, I'm in Austin, TX.  Nowhere even close to NY.  I hope you are able to find some groups, or individuals to connect with in real life.  I haven't done the support group thing, but I probably should.  I, of course, have moments when I think "I can totally handle this"  and others where it feels like I am just falling to pieces.  I'm sure that's no different from anyone else, but those low times are what makes me think I can't do this.  Good Luck.

I know what you mean. I am not from ny but was always wondering if there was a fellow bumpie in my area. There are times were I feel no one gets where I am coming from. I also live in a small town so there aren't really support groups. I also don't know if I would feel as comfortable as I have felt with everyone here. Did you sign up for the angel moms?

Sorry you're feeling frustrated.  I'm also in upstate NY, about 2 hours from you.  We couldn't find a local support group in our area.  Well, actually, apparently the local hospital has one but when we went to our first meeting no one else showed up, not even the leader.  We called to make sure we were in the right place and we were.  There just was no one else.  Talk about lack of support...

I've had a hard time finding a support group as well. I'm not near you, I live in Cincinnati. I hope you can find someone closer!

I live outside Reading, PA but my whole family is from upstate NY (Lake George area).

I am in central New Jersey and work in manhattan NY. If anyone is ever around my neck of the woods and want to get together, I would live it!

Its so weird there are so many of us but yet no support group. It's like we are trying to be a member of an underground club that no-one even wants to be in.

I'm in Minnesota and am thankful to have a few different options for support groups.  I'm sorry you aren't able to find the support you need there, perhaps someone wants to start one?
