Ok so i know that there are alot of new changes to a womans body during a pregnancy, but come on, skin tags on ur labia????
So im 32 weeks and i discovered a tiny little bump on the inside of my labia while doing some routine maintenance down there, and freaked out for a second, at first i thought it was an ingrown hair but turns out its a skin tag, and that its common for pregnant women to get them. I havent had a chance to discuss this with my gyno, which i will and see if i will have to get it removed or if it will go way on its own, but from what ive read and seen pictures of its just a small little bump, no itching or irritation from it, as with what most people confuse it with as genital warts. Just thought id share this since its something i was completly unaware of and was caught ofguard by.
Re: Skin tag on labia, WTF?
Oh I've got one way way way way up on my thigh by my groin but not quite lol Don't know if that makes sense. However, yes, 100% common for pregnant woman and my OB will be snipping it after delivery (: We've already discussed it! lol I also have a few very tiny ones on my neck - which will also be getting removed. I had them with DD#1 and the process is less than comfortable but I'll go batty if I don't get them removed lol
The one on my inner thigh is bigger. I feel like a small person can hang from it hahahahaha
PP - mine never went away after I had DD#1. I had to have them removed.
The joys....
So annoying right? I have developed on one on my nipple too (and hate it- still really little bit really?) I have one on my chest in between my boobs and one in the groin area.
Sometimes they go away on their own- but more commonly than not you have to have it removed :-(

They kind of run in my family and I've gotten them for what seems like forever. Sometimes they will just fall off on their own. You can get bigger ones removed at a dermatologist. I would imagine if you asked your doc to take care of it --down there-- after labor, they might just do it for you. I've gotten them on my neck before and just clipped them off with sanitized nail clippers. If it's not too big and you're feeling adventurous, put some local anesthesic on it (orajel, anal-ease, whatever) and go for it.
If you're doubtful at all that it's anything else or that it's big and will bleed a lot, please don't take my advice LMAO.

Skin tags are awful! I had several under my arm pit during my first tri that I had the dermatologist remove. Now I actually have two of them on my eye lid right next to my lashes that are such a pain to try and hide! I also have them back under both arm pits and a new one under my breast. Oh the joys of pregnancy...back to the derm after I give birth!
