DH is used to jogging solo or with the dog but due to a change in shift at work, if he wants to jog... he's going to have to do so with our toddler. Since we've never owned a jogging stroller, I don't know what to buy. I've done some homework online and have seen that perhaps Schwinn is a brand to stay away from and, of course, the "great" ones are all in the $300+ range. He's not a marathoner or triathlete. Running would mostly be on the street, sidewalk, or bike path. He would not be running straight-a-aways for long distances so I'm thinking that the locked front wheel would be a bad idea... but then again I have no idea. Anyone have any experience and can give me the low down on what I should look for and what to stay away from?
DS is about 32 pounds and 38". For fit example: He is, lengthwise, starting to outgrow our Vista -- I need to remove the canopy or else his head hits it (on super sunny days I leave it on for protection) and his feet extend past the foot bar.
Thank you for any insight or information.
Re: Jogging Strollers for toddler
I've owned a BOB Revolution and an InStep Safari - if you're a runner runner then go with the BOB (its worth every penny), however for walking/jogging, the InStep Safari (swivel wheel) is awesome and MUCH cheaper. My DD actually prefers it (and there are a few things I even like better about it too). Right now its a little over $100 on Walmart.com...you can hardly buy a used one for that price. Check out the reviews - it got almost 5 stars.

ETA: My 2 year old fits very comfortably in it with lots of room.
We have a Baby Jogger City Elite, and its awesome. If you can find one on sale its well worth it (we got ours on allbeebaby.com for a good deal). The front wheel can swivel or it can be locked.
DD is incredibly comfortable it in, dh is a marathoner/triathlete, and will take her occasinally on a shorter slower run. Its also great for "off roading" as I call it, when were at different races and were walking on all differet terrain.
Good Luck.
On the Health & Fitness board on the Nest, the Baby Trend jogging stroller gets recommended frequently as an inexpensive option.
We personally have a Chariot Cougar, but we also use it for biking and strolling. It's pretty expensive but fabulous.
