In labor and terrified of peeing ...

We just got sent home from the hospital since after walking around for an hour I was still only dilated one cm (come on, baby!). Kind of frustrating, but it was nice to be able to get in the shower at home. 

 I think  the baby's head must be pushing on my urethrea, though, because it hurts like HECK to pee--which I found out accidentally in the shower. (Sorry, tmi ...) I know I need to empty my bladder but I'm terrified of trying to go. Ugh. 

Anyway, that's my vent for the time being.

    Can you pee in the tub? Maybe leaning back and being in warm water could help.

    I couldn't pee when I was in intense labor, either. I could barf and poo, but not pee. =/

    Try and figure out something because holding your pee can cause labor to not progress or stop it. Good luck!!!

    baby's head has been crimping my urethra for weeks. OB suggested this and it's working (for the most part) for me: lean forward as far as you can and lift your belly at the same time. It's not 100%, but it's helped me survive the last few weeks:) GL!
