Nicknames for Annelise? (Not Annie)

Also, what is your preferred spelling?  I have seen Annalise, Annelise, and Anneliese.

Ann, Anna, Liese (Lee-see or Lee-suh), Liesel, Lise (like lease).

My favorite is Liesel and no I don't think it's a stretch.

I would spell it Anneliese.

I like Anneliese best. I think nicknames should come organically. I don't like predetermined nicknames much.

Analise pronounced AH-na-lees is my preference and NN Ana (AH-nuh). But if you are pronouncing it Anna-Lees and don't want to use Annie/Ann/Anna then I think a NN would come in time. Probably Lise (lees) or Lisey (Lees-ee)... I love the name though with or without a NN!

I find it odd that people are looking for NN for their kids before they're even here.  NN (I've always thought) grow out of the person/arent chosen).  Ex.   I grew up w/a kid named Scooter cuz when he was real little (like 2) he ate a whole box of scooter pies by himself....his NN had meaning, that's what I always thought a NN should have)

I prefer Anneliese.

I don't think there's anything wrong with predetermined nicknames. We always knew we call our Anneliese "Annie". We sometimes call her Anne or Liesey too.

That being said, I think I would instinctively start calling her Liese or Liesey.

No comment on the NN issue, but I like Anneliese the best by far.
