I'm confused, help?

I posted about a week that I had a miscarriage.  I had a beta at 11, then 14 (2 days later) and then 57 (4 days later). After that beta, I began to bleed and called to tell my dr I was miscarrying.  I went for an appt a week later with my dr and we talked about everything.  He did another beta to see if my levels were a 0 yet.  This was on Monday.  I called today to check on them and they were over 600.

Nurse said they are still very low.  They will do labs again Monday and schedule a soon but she also said he may want me to do a D&C.  I'm just really confused right now.  How can I bleed so much and still have rising #'s. My dr said it was a blighted ovum but wouldn't my numbers be dropping by now?

I don't have any cramps like it's ectopic either.  This is seriously hell.  Has anyone else had anything at all similar to this?

I just had a D & C today.  I don't have any real answers for you but I was told it takes time for your body to realize it is no longer a viable pregnancy.  I was to be 11 weeks Thurs and the ultrasound showed a measurement of only 9 weeks.  I still had all symptoms but no heartbeat.  All the doc said was that the hormones stay in your system for a bit.  I hope you get some peace soon.

My numbers weren't ever measured,  but a month after my d&c, I was still getting positive pregnancy tests and having symptoms, so  it would make sense to me that numbers could still rise.

Thanks.  I honestly just want this to be over.  This dragging on for 3 weeks is miserable!

If your numbers are rising then there is still some tissue present.  I had to have 3 d&c's because they missed the tissue on the first two tries.

Agree w/ PP.  My number rose too and I still had pregnancy symptoms until about 2 1/2 weeks after the miscarriage because I still had a placenta and tissue.  Once I passed those the numbers went down.

I feel like I'm second guessing myself on having a miscarriage now.  I spotted for a week, bled for 3 days (no clots), and spotted for another week.  This is like life's cruel joke or something.  I guess I won't know for sure until I get an ultrasound.
