TTC after 35

**Julie581**

Wow! I thought L/A was behind the times! Presque Isle makes it twice as hard, eh?

Have you asked any of your providers (docs, laboratories, etc.) if they'll charge less if you pay cash up front? Usually, they'll give a fat discount. I had no idea about the international option, though-- I wonder how much it costs in Qu?bec? Hmm....

Good luck!

  • Yeah, PI sucks! lol I asked about discounts and got told "these are our prices." Nice, huh?

I haven't found any prices on treatments in Canada. Right now we're trying to track down when the open enrollment period is for my husband insurance. We were told it was in June & Dec. Now they're saying it's just Dec. We would've gotten it when in Jan. when he was promoted but we were busy trying to heat the house so we figured we'd til June. It's a really, really crappy insurance, but at least that why the hospital would bill us. Such a mess.

  • Ugh. Good luck! We're trying to see if the VA will cover MH's SA-- but that's only $219, so it's not as bad on the budget...

  • The only good thing about Cary medical center is that the SA is only gonna be $78 :) I've made enough from Superpoints this year to cover that!! WOO HOO!! Now I'm working on saving up the $365 for the HSG.

I also found this link for you to check out. They have a fertility clinic in Portland, and I'm pretty sure they do IVF. I haven't called them or anything yet. I'm so stuffed up right now that I sound horrid!!

At least Portland is a lot closer than Boston!
