Multiples

Movement question

Clearly it's too early for me to feel movement. I'm just wondering if with multiples you felt them move earlier than a singleton, if you have a singleton to compare too. If not when did you first feel movement?

Re: Movement question

  • This is my 3rd pregnancy.  I started to feel movement every once in a while at aroun 16 weeks and more consistent movement around 19-20 weeks....about the same as my 2nd singleton pregnancy.

  • 2nd pregnancy. started feeling baby a way down low every now and then about 16 weeks. baby a has been a crazy dancing fool every day since about 18 weeks. i feel baby b every day at this point as well, but not as strongly or as much, but i found out it's because one placenta wraps from the back, around the top, and in front of baby b, so she's got a lot of cushion to kick through. baby a's placenta is entirely at the back of my ute, so that's why it's been so easy to feel her moving around.

  • I started feeling movement exactly 2 weeks ago.  Now I feel it every morning and night when I'm relaxing.

My son is baby A and smaller than my daughter.  He does seem to like to get his foot stuck in my pelvis.  My daughter...she's gonna be a soccer player!  Man does she kick my belly button!

I started feeling them and wasn't sure if it was them because of placement.  After my last u/s on Tuesday, it's definite that I've been feeling babies.

  • I can't speak from previous experience as the twins are my first pregnancy, but I was advised that with an anterior placenta (positioned on the front), it may take me a few weeks longer to start feeling movement.  But if you don't have that, then with so many limbs flying around I would imagine your chances of feeling things sooner would increase!

  • I was carrying triplets until sometime after 12 weeks and felt movement around 11, very low, very consistent and coinciding with movement I saw on u/s.  Then we lost baby C at some point before 17 weeks and movement tapered off.  But picked up again at 18 weeks and is now crazy.  With my first, a singleton, I didn't feel anything I could really say was movement until closer to 20-22 weeks.
