How is your baby?

Hi moms!

Sorry I've been MIA and have no clue what has been going on. Hope everyone is doing well.

So how are your babies? My, now almost 3month old still doesn't sleep through the night, isn'tt the biggest fan of tummy time and we still don't have a routine down.

But she loves to coo, smile and sit.

I"m just a walking zombie. I started working this week and I sleep on average about 3hrs/night. I"m about to fall over. How do you do it? Any tips? :)

Also my little peanut has a cold. Second day in daycare and she picked up a nasty virus. Taking her to the doc today. It's heart breaking to see them sick when they are soo little and helpless.

Anyway, sorry this is such a random post. Just wanted to say hi, see how you all are doing and well, I also wanted to complain a bit :)

 Have a great weekend everyone!!

  • Welcome back! Sorry about the sleeping issues and cold. Not a whole lot of advice here, I'm still waiting for my boy to consistently sleep through the night (we've had a couple of good nights, but for the most part it's still 4 hour stretches). We also had our first cold too, no fun.

K is a chatterbox though! We sit and gossip over my morning coffee every day ;)

  • DS still not sleeping thru the night either. We get a few sessions of tummy time in every day though he still isn't rolling over yet, although he does roll from his back to his side fairly often. He starts daycare on Monday and I know he's going to get germs in no time. Not looking forward to that first illness. I had a stomach virus last week and he managed to escape it, thank goodness. DH has a cold and so far neither DS nor I have caught it.

I'm not back to work yet, but exhausted all the time. Don't know how you're working on only 3 hours of sleep per night. I feel for ya, girl!

  • We're doing well. Elle was sleeping mostly through the night for awhile (10pm-ish to 5 am- ish) and then she started teething this week and has been waking at least 3-5 times a night. We got her teething tablets and a new teether by tommee tippee that seems to be working pretty well. She doesnt enjoy tummy time either - she loves to be upright and looking at the world :)

We had a cold awhile back - lots of chest congestion but she's such a happy, good-tempered baby it wasn't so bad.

As for tips on sleeping we cosleep and it really helps to have lo right there when she wakes up. I usually just give her the boob and she falls right back asleep after a few minutes of nursing and I'm already laying down so I can just doze until she falls asleep and I can put her next to me on her back with the covers away from her. I know cosleeping is not for everyone and I dunno if you even bf but it has definitely helped me in the sleep department :)

  • Oh! and if you don't already have one a humidifier is a lifesaver when lo has a cold. When she first caught the cold she was up so much during the night. Then we got a humidifier and put it right by the bed and she started sleeping for longer stretches again.
