I only signed up briefly but the excruciatingly slow load times made me abandon it. I also didn't like linking it with my Facebook account, although I think you can disable that afterwards?
I still check it out a couple times a week. Some of the projects are a little far fetched. Meaning, it doesn't make sense to me to spend hours on a project that I can purchase at Michaels for 1/2 the price.
I've noticed alot of tumblr photos being pinned, which I think are just photos and not linked to any tutorial or recipe. I've also had bad luck with the recipes I've tried. Last time I tried one, I had it pulled up on the iPhone app. It hadn't pinned it and the app crashed. I was 3 ingredients into a recipe and couldn't find the recipe again.
I use it as an online visual organizing tool. I mostly use it for recipes/ meal planning. I also love to pin things I want to buy in the future. I really love my exercise board that I've pinned youtube clips of work out videos to.
I think if you are using it just to browse other peoples pins it will get old really quickly. But, if you use it as I do it is the greatest thing ever!
I really like to browse through the recipes and have noticed sooooo many of the same ones over and over again that it is really getting boring. But I have found so many great recipes through pinterest.
Something else that is starting to annoy me is there are a lot of foreign lanuages under posts and it seems like a lot more spam type stuff.
My vote though.... pinterest is the greatest thing on the internet!
I like it as a tool when I need some ideas. It was awesome when I needed ideas for the kids beach theme birthday party and I have been doing a lot of pinning now that we are getting ready to buy a house that need re-decorated. I am not addicted, in that I am not on every day, but when I want to get ideas on things I go there. I am not a magazine person, hate having them laying around, and also don't like the thought of googling and then scrolling through hundreds of websites. I like that it is all in one spot. I don't use it for cooking, or anything on a daily basis. I have had no problems with the speed.
I've never cared for it. I really tried to get into it because it seemed like everyone else loves it, but it never happened for me. I haven't checked it in months, and I'm not sure I ever will.

I do enjoy the recipes and scrapbook layouts.

me too
Guess I'm the odd one out.
Love Pinterest from the start, still love it just as much. Haven't been on as much this week because of spring break, but still love it.
Is it any faster? That was the biggest sticking point for me.

I'm not really sure I ever noticed it was very slow? It had a few moments of downtime every so often, but it's quick for me.
I have pinned so many recipes and have a "To Make" list that is so huge, I have taken a break to try and catch up.
I do look forward to doing some of the craft ideas. I definitely do not get on as much as I used to.
