Has anyone's DH morph improved on a repeat SA? My DH had a 0% morph and just had his 2nd SA today. What did your RE suggest to do if you had 0% morph (IUI or IVF)? Thanks!

MH stayed the same both times (1%) We were told IVF with ICSI. I don't see how iui would be beneficial at all with 0% morph.
04/07/11- PCOS Diagnosis w/GYN. Put on Metformin (1500 mgs) 04/25/11- 1st consultation with RE (Confirmed PCOS & Anovulation) 05/09/11-HSG-All clear! 05/13/11-SA-Normal. Found out on 2/14/12, low Morph (1%). 06/17/11-10 days of Clomid (100, 150) No response. 07/10/11-03/20/12- 5 Injectable (Follistim) IUI cycles; 4 BFN, 1 C/P. (stims ranged from 11 days to 25 days) 05/28/12-Diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. 75 mcg Synthroid.
IVF with ICSI in June/July 2013 = BFP!. Beta # 1 = 123. Beta # 2 = 252. Due March 25th. Baby boy arrived March 27, 2013!
FET #1 - 10/4/14 = BFP!! Beta #1 = 179. Beta # 2 = 499. Due June 22nd.
I believe that DH's morph stayed the same (0%). My RE said that we would have to go straight to IVF w/ICSI as there was no way DH's sperm would be able to make it to/penetrate an egg on their own.
Me: 35 DH: 30 TTC since 1/2010
DX: 6/15/2011: MFI IVF with ICSI
DH's count went up but on the 1st SA he had 3% morph and 1% morph and the second SA.
We tried 2 B2B IUI's but the numbers were so low post wash I didn't really have any hope but I felt like I needed to know that it wouldn't work before moving on and investing so much in IVF/ICSI. If you doctor recommends trying one before moving on (if the morph goes up) I would follow the docs suggestion. You never know what might happen.
Hi! I don't have an answer but saw that you live i Do you mind if I ask what Dr you go to? I go to Dr. K. I didn't know if this should have been in a PM, but I haven't figured those out yet! lol

I didn't think IUI would be beneficial either. She said because I was pregnant before that we should still proceed w/ IUI. We did and it didn't help. He is having another one to see what our next step is. I'm not sure she knows what she is doing.

Hi! DH had 3 SAs all with 0% morph. I'm sorry if this is not the news you were looking for, but our RE said our best (and only) option was IVF with ICSI. GL!
My DH's initial SA had 2% morph, so our RE suggested 3 rounds of IUI. Our RE suggested him to take antioxidant supplement, so he has been taking them, but I heard that it would take about 3 mom for supplement to work.
We just did the first IUI and it turned out that his SA was 0% morph. I was shocked and had my BFN a couple of days ago.
I know they only take 200ish samples of sperm for the critical morp test, so there could be normal ones outside of the sample. I talked to my RE and our decision is up to us. He definitely suggests IVF w/ ICSI but he understands the cost, so we are going to try 2 more IUIs.

My DH's first SA was 0% morph and our RE said we had NO choice and had to do IVF and that their was a 0% chance of him improving that number enough. So we moved forward with IVF. Since then my DH has been retested 3 times with our new RE and his morphology has gone up to 6%. Now we don't know if his first test was a fluke or if he has really improved I am not sure. He is on a concoction of herbal supplements and super foods. Again I have no clue what happened but his did improve and our new RE said with his new #'s we could try IUI. NOw we have not been successful with IUI or IVF so who knows! But i am DOR too. GOod luck

BFP- 8/9/15
Beta #1 8/10/15 13DPO- 9.2 (fingers crossed this sticks)
Ours was initially 0%, then went to 0.5%, and the best was 1%.
If morph is the only issue, then IUI is worth a shot regardless of morph. Provided there are at least 5 million motile swimmers post wash, morph only decreases pregnancy rates slightly.
We didn't get that many, so we are doing IVF w/ICSI.
Most of H's samples have 0% morph. One or two had 2%. We've now had 4 failed IUIs and are starting cycle #30. Yeah. I wish I would have listened to our MFI uro and just waited for IVF. With morph that low, IUIs are almost 0% chance of working in a real life setting.
My DH's morph is 0% and we were told that our best chance was IVF with ICSI. The RE gave us a 5% chance of IUI working.
The good news - IVF with ICSI worked and our beautiful little boy will be 4 in July.
Good luck!
