We're headed to Disney in a month with DS who is 2.5 years old, he's 38 lbs and 38 inches long. So he's outgrown the inglesina zippy we've had for years. Any recommendations for an umbrella stroller that won't break the bank?
When DD was about 2.5 years old we bought a Maclaren Volo from the seller below on ebay. It was a new in box older model similiar to the one below that was maybe just a bit cheaper. It was perfect and for the price we paid it is a great stroller. We rarely use it but the times we need it it has definitely come in handy. We have a trip to Disney planned for later this year and plan on bringing it. Disney rental strollers are pretty pricey.
Bean is about the same size as your LO. We just went to Washington DC for a week, and I got a Maclaren Volo. It worked out beautifully. The canopy is huge, it can be set up, broken down, and steered with one hand. We gate checked it in a gate check bag, (put the canopy in our checked bag) and it came through perfectly. It can go up stairs pretty easily, too. Also, it has a shoulder strap, which is convenient.
The only complaint I could think to have is that since it is so lightweight, you can't hang things on the handles of the stroller, and then take your LO out of the stroller. I had my PPB Sashay Satchel hanging on the handles, and Bean would want to get down, so I'd have to put the bag on my back (thank GOD for the convertible backpack straps), and then get him out of the stroller, which worked out fine.
I love this stroller. We plan on taking it to Europe next year.

We are going in the next few weeks....for 5 yo DS, we are using our Combi. He is 44 inches tall and 49 pounds and stillfits well. When he doesn't want to ride, we can fold it up and it has a strap to throw it over our shoulder. The only negative thing is that it has very little storage.
For almost 2 yo DS who is at least 31lbs and at least 32 inches but maybe more...can't remember last time I measured, we are taking our Graco Quattro Tour. It has multiple drink holder and storage is ample for diapers, wipes, extra change of clothes, snacks, etc. Plus it can lay back pretty far with a generous sunshade so he could nap in it if he needs to.
When 5yo was 2.5 we took a used Graco Metrolite and that worked well...lightweight, good storage.
My DS is about the size of your LO and we like the maclaren techno. Storage is a PITA when the seat is reclined however. It doesn't come with cup holders but I can get a drink in the back pocket when it isn't reclined.
If you don't need a seat that reclines, I would also recommend the Maclaren Volo.
Maclarens are pricey, but if you're going to be pushing it a lot, which you will at a theme park then having one that's comfortable for both you and LO is worth the price to me.
I have a Mamas & Papas Tour (similar to the Maclaren triumph) and it reclines almost flat which has been a lifesaver on trips as DS naps in his stroller. If you are looking for something with a recline, I would recommend it.

The only thing about this stroller is that it does NOT hav a 5 point harness (if you are looking for that).
