PGD results going to take another week!

I just found out that 5 embies is the final count but they are doing a detailed PGS review and not the quick one so the results are back in 5 business days and not 2 days. The repost is then read by the embryologist and results are then passed to the RE so expect a call late next week!!! That is sooooo far away!!!!!!
For those that have done PGD/S does that sound excessive to you. If the results are in next Monday then surely it will not take 3-4 days to read and review the report.
It is going to be a very long week ahead and today is already a week since the ER.
Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p

The waiting game stinks...especially with IF issues!
I know how you feel...I have to wait another week to talk to my doctor about test results from 2 weeks ago, just because she didn't have an appt for another week.

TTC Since 10/2007 with no luck and a 'go with the flow' attitude
1/1010 FINALLY decided to have testing done, dx MFI
7/2010 - DH starts Clomid to increase testosterone and hopefully sperm count
10/2010 - Still low (but improved) sperm count.
11/30/10 - IUI #1 and only = BFN
February 2011 - IVF #1 w/ ICSI =
Chemical PG (Beta 1: 10, Beta 2: 19, Beta 3: 17) :-(
April 2011 - IVF #2 w/ ICSI = BFN :-(
September 2011 - IVF #3 w/ ICSI = BFFN
November 2011 - AMH level tested - .83 (normal for age range)
February 2012 - IVF #4 w/ ICSI = (best response ever yet still) BFFN
April 2012 - DNA testing - NORMAL, RE suggests cycling again with own eggs or using DE
On Break indefinitely...not sure we can afford the emotional and financial roller coaster anymore.

Ugh, another long wait. Ours took about 7-10 days total each time, and it was torture, so unfortunately your wait doesn't sound excessive to me. I found out later though that the reason it took so long is because we were doing an FET with them regardless, so we were not a top priority. They need to rush to get the 3 day embies analyzed first for any 5 dt - then they did ours.
Ugh, so sorry for the wait. Hopefully the more extensive review will give you some good results and some awesome embies.

Long story: trying on our own + testing testing testing with 6 rounds of Clomid, more testing, injectables + TI, laparoscopy - one tube blocked, 2 IUIs with Follistim...BFNs.
RPL testing all normal, Karyotyping normal
Moving on to IVF.
IVF #1 April 2012 = BFN, IVF #2 June 2012 = BFP. U/S 7/23 = saw heartbeat but measuring behind. Follow up U/S on 7/30 - no heartbeat. D&C 8/2. Trisomy 12. IVF #3 Oct 2012 = Chemical Pregnancy
Phone consult with CCRM on 12/12/12 - ODWU 1/4/13 - both tubes clear(!) - AFC 24, AMH 3.2, FSH 9.6, LH 5.4, E2 25. DH has high frag rate but improved!
IVF #4 March 2013 CCRM. EP protocol w/ Menopur, Gonal-F & Dexamethasone. ER 3/29 & IMSI, PICSI. 43R 13M 10F 6blasts bio'd. CCS testing reveals 3 normals!!!
FET 5/31/13 of 1 4AA blast - thawed and expanded. 4dp5dt BFP.
Beta 9dp5dt = 181, 11dp5dt = 427. 1st u/s showed a healthy heartbeat! EDD 2/16/14
After 4 years of hoping and heartbreak, our sweet little bean was born on 2/19/14

Any chance they send them to Reprogenetics for the testing? We were all set to do PGD, and were cancelled at the last minute (not enough embryos, went with a 3 day transfer... BFN). When we completed the paperwork, spoke with the representative from the reprogenetics lab they indicated we would potentially need to freeze the embryos for additional more advanced testing which would take up to 5 business days....
Anyways, it was tough for us to schedule the PGD testing with reprogenetics (who my RE uses) so i'm not surprised....
Me = 39 DH = 50 TTC (since 01/2009 after a short break, I stopped counting *cycles* in 2010)
DX 2010 : Unknown Infertility , AMA
HSG 2005 = Normal / HSG 2010 = Normal
SA 2005 = Normal / SA 2010 /2012 = Slightly low count : motility, morphology GREAT!

Exactly that! It is 5 business day so the test results should be back Monday. I am hoping that it does not take 2-4 days for the results to be looked at before I hear from the RE. I may start to call them on Tuesday and see what is going on
