When are you considered an oldie?

With all the drama on TTCAL about oldies and newbies and so on, it got me thinking, at what point are you considered an oldie?

I've wondered this myself. I've been here well over a year now on a pretty consistent basis, and on and off for about a year before that. 

I don't know if I'm an oldie or not, but the drama on TTCAL has got to stop. I try to stay out of it for the most part, but it's just ridiculous! I can't believe some b!tches seem to have chased VQ away. It feels like high school over there sometimes...I didn't like high school...

I don't think there is an exact definition, I think it's more of a mindset. I guess when you're around long enough that everyone else is gone and you're one of the ones that have been on the board longest, you inherit that title.

In terms of those of us with TTCAL oldies badges. ::points down to badge::

A few of us created those and the thought was if the women you originally joined with have are now on PAL or working on subsequent children you're an oldie. It's not something that just anyone is adding, but we decided to own our longevity. 

As far as the 6+ board, well that's 6 months actively on the main board like the description says.

Thanks mille! Some days I feel like I've been here forever and I consider myself an oldie but I know that there are older oldies. So I was just wondering what others thought.

Yup Delino..we are "Oldies"   I think if you've been here and active for a year + you are an "Oldie".

Most of your buddies have gotten a sticky BFP

Most of your buddies have given birth to their LO

Most of your buddies might be on their second, or third...

Your eye rolly muscles are stronger than your arms

The "Newbs" on TTCAL call you mean

You don't participate in a "Check in"

You don't have the energy to reply to the stupid posts on TTCAL

You don't have the energy to get to know any of the "Newbs" because by the time you get to know them they will be onto PgAL

You miss the OSB

You don't even lurk on PgAL because you no longer know the girls over there

The only thing you post about is life related rather than TTC related, or your posts seem to be mostly "bad" news

You stopped making a list of baby names

You laughed (or cried) at at least one of these things
