J sucks at remembering to buy gifts or even cards for that matter. I'll probably buy myself something. It's what I do at Christmas and for my birthday.
Heck yes! Mother's Day last year was when I went to L&D with Gabe because I *just knew* something was wrong. This year, Mother's Day is on his birthday. I've already told H that I expect a gift, and I expect it to be good. I have to be explicit with him because I do not want to be disappointed. I want Mother's Day and his birthday to be a celebration since it was such a dark time last year.

No, i'm not expecting anything. When she is older i would like a handmade gift but for now, nothing is needed. My problem is that everything i want is to expensive! I'll settle on dinner though
I'm not his mother (thank God for that), so I wouldnt expect him to get me anything. Just like I wouldn't get him anything for fathers day because he's not my father. I do get him something "from the boys" though.

I voted yes because I expect him to do something, like make me breakfast and let me sleep in, because that's the kind of thing I would like and he knows that.
I may not be his mother, but it's a day honoring mothers so I think it's appropriate that he do/get something to show his appreciation of me as the mother of our child. Just like I plan to do something for him on fathers day to show how much I appreciate all he does as the father of our child.
Mother's day is always kinda hard for me. My step-daughter spends it with her mom every year (as she should, don't get me wrong) and it's sad not to have her around to celebrate with.
DH will probably get me something. But I'm not asking for anything.
Mama of 2: one who grew in my womb, both who grow in my heart.
I do expect something from him now since DD is little. I know my dad always got stuff "from us" for my mom until we were old enough to do something for her ourselves. Now that we are adults he doesn't, but we do it ourselves obviously. So I guess my point is, yeah, I do expect something from him "from her" until she is old enough to do things herself. I'll be doing the same for him.
I usually just tell DH something that I'd buy for myself anyways and he'll get that for me as a gift. We have a joint bank account, so I'd be getting it either way
This year I reallllly want an iPad, so I've been hinting that should be my gift. If I don't get it, I may just buy it anyways....see how that works

Eff yes, I expect a gift. He'll take the kids and buy me something for them to give me.
But I'm not a first-timer. I've been getting Mother's Day gifts for about 8 years now.
This. But more like he'll say, "What do you want for Mother's Day/birthday? Just go get it."
It's how we roll here and I'm fine with that.
