Howdy, Ladies,

Would you be so kind as to critique my stash? I'm a month away from my due date and plan to CD right after meconium on up. It might seems like a lot, but I got almost everything used or as a present since we knew we were preggo. I also didn't want to commit to any particular method or brand, but obviously I dig the BumGenius AIOs. Thanks for your thoughts!

Are you using cloth wipes? You will need at least one for every diaper change plus some. I like to keep some in the diaper bag and I usually use more than one when my LO poops during a diaper change. Also, you will need a couple snappis for the prefolds unless you're planning on trifolding them, in which case you might want a couple more covers.

On your 10lbs plus you state you have covers, but I don't see any fitteds or prefolds on your list.

This. A whole lot of covers but nothing to put in them....

Good call! I have 5 covers once she gets larger, but only regular inserts from the other pocket diapers. I did want to try some fitted GMD cloth-eez, but didn't want to buy anymore newborn stuff once I got the stash of prefolds from craigslist the other day for a song. Think I will see how the tri-fold newborn GMD's with covers go during newborn time and then order some fitteds or larger prefolds (+ snappi) to go with those larger covers if I'm digging the absorbency and fit.

So I don't have any cloth wipes because they're something I haven't been able to fully commit to in my mind yet. I think I have a notion that they won't get the baby clean or they'll somehow be dirtier than the diaper itself (yep, that makes absolutely no sense at all). Maybe I should just get a pack or two and see how it goes because that's the only way I'll ever know what it's like. Go big or go home, right?
