Side effects of Clomid

As I stated in my last (and first) post, I am on CD 13 of my first round of Clomid. I took it days 5-9.  I have read all the horror stories on here about side effects and I thought I was good to go until yesterday.  I woke up with a splitting headache that hasn't gone away. The only time I get headaches is when I am hungover:)  I am also having horrible hot flashes and bouts of nausea.  I am trying not to take too much medication since I am about to enter my FW.  Does anyone have any home remedies that helped them with the side effects of Clomid?  How long did the effects last?

    I take Tylenol for my headaches from Clomid. 

    Hopefully your monitoring appointment will show mature follicles and the side effects will subside.

    Not sure if it is so much a remedy, but drinking a ton of water usually helps me with headaches. GL

    2002 Lap. surgery Stage 3 Endo
    Amenorrhea/Anovulation since 2009
    3/2012 HSG left dialated/Hydrosalpinx, right tube blocked
    3/2012 SA - Normal! Go little swimmers!
    Lap. surgery 6/13/12 stage 4 Endo Cleared tubes, removed cysts and adhesions.
    Repeat HSG, right tube blocked/left hydro. PCOS, and Endometrial hyperplasia.
    Moving forward with purchasing a home, then maybe IVF/ adoption/embryo adoption/ or child free.

    Some swear by taking it at night. As for how long, it varies.

     

    My doc had me take it at night. I didn't get headaches. Hot flashes made me wonder if this is a preview of menopause. They came night and day.

    Tylenol is ok to take.... Like PP hopefully you'll have lots of follicles ready to go.... I never got headaches from clomid but I was extremely irritable... Hope you fell better and GL

    Too late this cycle for taking it at night, but I will try next cycle (hear's hoping for no next cycle).

    As for the b*tch-factor...not sure there is any remedy in the world that could fix me right now. I just about ripped my poor BF's face off for messing up a .99 cent packet of lipton noodles at dinner last night. Jesus.

    I took it at night, and the symptoms were minimal, except for headaches during my fertile window. You should be fine taking a low dose of Tylenol.

    I always take it at night. The first two times I took it I had hot flashes, headaches and was super emotional. My dosage actually went up this cycle and I hardly had any side effects! I hope your's go away soon and that it's all worth it in the end.
