It couldn't be a real BFP....could it?

It does not surprise me that I POAS this evening. I can't help it. lol! But now I kinda wish I didn't because I'm just going to wonder. I did the Wondfo, which are super sensitive. My m/c was 5 weeks ago and last week the hcg blood tested at 3.5. Yesterday I did get a negative test. This evening there's a faint line. It's not dark enough for me to believe yet that it's not residual hcg though. I'm 6 dpo. I did feel the ovulation and then at 3dpo felt some cramping/burning on the right side. It's not possible yet to get a bfp, is it??

Now you've done it... girl, you are going to go insane!   I have spent many a day staring at HPTs under a light/in direct sunlight/under a magnifying glass, etc. and the worst is you just have to wait it out to test again to be sure. Technically, you can have a positive HPT this early (I became pregnant immediately after my 3rd miscarriage and my RE picked up what he thought was an embryo on a scan on my first visit - then he ran a blood test/beta.) I was only about 6dpo and it was at 16 (it had gone down to 0 after my previous miscarriage, so I knew it was a new pregnancy)... so the very early pee sticks could have picked that up.

Unfortunately, you will have to wait until the morning to see if it's still there/darker. I'm sorry! I know how you feel though - I've tested too early myself and seen that faintest of faint lines. It's insanity inducing! GL to you and hope to hear positive news soon.

6dpo is too early IMO. I think either your O date is off or something's not right with that test.  

I told you I'm not a fan of the wondfos. Try another brand and see what you get? FRER is really sensitive too.

   I didn't think you could get a positive test at 6 dpo?  The earliest I have seen ppl get a + on a hpt is 9 dpo.

Thank you everyone. Those of you who have shared in my insanity and those of you who have helped me to reel myself back in for a few days. I basically know that I'm going to have to wait it out a few days to see if it's real, but wanted to see if anyone else has ever had this happen.

Abeille, I totally thought of you when I saw the line and your displeasure with the Wondfos. But those are the tests I have right now.

I hate to agree, but if your really are 6dpo its too early, but maybe your dates are off?  I used a wondfo the morning of my 2nd beta and I got a faint line but my beta was 0, so unfortunately sometimes those suckers give faint false +.

Yeah, I still like their OPK strips, but I only order the packs w/o the HPTs.  I just stick to the FRER HPTs now 

I hope you still have 2 lines in a few days!

Vanessa - I've heard rumors that Wondfo had a bad batch somewhere, but I've never had anything but accurate results from them... including my current pregnancy which is the only time I've ever gotten an early +. I do have to agree that 6dpo is too early to test though. Are you sure you ovulated? I don't think you would have ovulated if you still had hcg from the m/c in your system, so that's a good sign. FX for you!

Yes, I'm almost 100% sure I ovulated. I got the + OPK and the next day had the temp rise and it has continued to stay high. The hcg was only a 3.5. I'd had blood work that morning, actually. The nurse said that it was probably at that level for a while and that I could ovulate, because I had already had the +OPK so I asked. I also felt the ovulation pains. The reason I got a little excited last night was because I had tested - on the Wondfo the day before but the line was so light last night that I won't believe anything until it's dark. Thanks for the info on the bad batch. I will check into it and when I get to about 12 DPO I'll probably go get a different kind of test because they won't likely show up until then anyway. We'll see in a few days.

So I just looked up the bad Wondfo batch and the date it expires is 6/2013. I have casually looked at the dates on mine and I know some of them are 9/2013 but I think some might also be 6/2013. Some people posted pictures and it's exactly what my tests had looked like. I'll double check the batch when I get home but I just might have had some from the bad batch. Thank you so much for letting me know. It makes me feel less like I am losing my mind!

Just as an FYI, the false + I got the other day was from a 9/2013 batch, I dipped another one in water and got a faint line.. total BS! I think they can still be somewhat trusted if you get a dark + but the faint ones i'd have a hard time trusting. I was using a batch w/ 5/2013 last week and they were totally fine.

Thank you for letting me know. When I got home I checked and it is the 9/2013 batch but I wondered if maybe they hadn't been able to get the problem worked out. That is crazy that you got a + with just water. I did take one yesterday to see if I'd get that same false light line but it came out negative. I'm just going to have to go out this weekend and buy one from the store. I don't know what to expect. I vomited last night and am feeling a little nauseas this morning. I know I'm not sick because I was a couple of weeks ago but it could just be the progesterone too. Can't wait for this 2ww to be up!

It's unlikely that you get a BFP at 6dpo. 10dpo is the earliest some people get it and I got a BFN at 11dpo and a BFP at 14dpo. You should wait a few more days and test again. I wish you lots of sticky baby dust!!

Thanks so much! I thought it was crazy, too but you know you see the line and think maaaaaaybe, or hope, or just become foolish. I'm 9dpo today so just a few more days. It was 12 dpo last time when I got a for sure positive and also had a beta that day which was at 20 but I realize it could take a couple more days after that. Almost there!
