Still miscarrying :(

I went to my follow appointment... apparently I am still miscarrying. My spotting started on 3/30 and then the heavy tissue passing was on 4/5. Thats when they confirmed it was a m/c. Well today they said that my cervix is still open and I have alot of tissue that has not passed. We are waiting for my body to pass it all naturally. My next appointment is 4/20 and if its still not complete then they will either give me meds that help it along or surgery, which I assume is a D&C... all the pain I have been having is due to me still being in the process of the m/c. I never realized it took this long.

I did break down in the office. It was hard because the nurse left the computer open when she stepped out for a moment and my status was listed in bright red letters - "pregnant" with my due date of 10/31/12 just below it. It just made me so sad to think about how less than a week ago I was pregnant, heartbeat and all. And now I'm not. It was also hard to see the u/s and not have a little baby sac there...

I am so sorry you're going through this. I'm 8 weeks post miscarriage now and STILL have tissue to pass. The waiting is taking forever. People seem to have different reactions to the medication (mine was Cytotec or mistoprostol), but it did nothing for me. I pray you pass everything naturally and with as little pain as possible. Hang in there. It gets a little easier with time.

I am so sorry you are going through this. (((hug)))  I know nothing will make it better but you are not alone. I am praying for this to end for you soon so you can start to heal. I had my d&c today and I actually did find some peace. hang in there.
