3rd times the charm

I just had my 3rd d&c Sunday night/Monday morning at the ER.  I have my first d&c on 3/27 with no fetal tissue found.  An u/s found the blighted ovum was still present so I had a second d&c on 4/2.  Well last night I started having severe cramps with heavy bleeding soaking through pads in seconds and passing lots of clots and tissue.  I called some friends to take care of my 2 year old since my husband is currently deployed and went to the er.  My mom had flown in to help with him and had extended her stay for another week for the second d&c but had just left on Saturday morning.

During my intake exam the my first nurse passed out because of the blood and clots the ER Doctor was pulling out with forceps.  She had to be taken out on a board with a neck brace and sent for CT scans because of how hard she hit her head.  This was after the Dr pulled the call cord out of the wall and had to scream out the door "someone get the f*** in here and help me."  Super comforting that no one responded to the alarm.  Then I had an ultrasound and the sac was STILL there.  So around 2:30am I had an ultrasound guided d&c and hopefully that is the end of this.

I hope that no one else has had an experience like this.  Physically I feel ok, but emotionally pretty wrecked since it seems like this is never ending.

wow! i am so sorry you have had to go through all of this. it sounds like a horror movie. i would hope i never have to go to the hospital you went to poor thing. i hope it is all over for your sake and you get better soon

Thanks, I did have a nice experience when I delivered my son there two years ago.  This was just a mess, but hopefully it is taken care of.  I was at a different hospital in a bigger city 75 miles away (where the ob practice I was seeing was) for the first two procedures.

How scary!  I'm so sorry for your loss & that you are having a seemingly never-ending experience with so many D&Cs.
