Barnyard smell...normal?

Is barnyard stink to be expected from a urine only nighttime diaper? Her diapers don't smell at all when they are clean so I am thinking that it is just a function of having a lot of pee in the diaper for more hours than usual.

I think this is only if you have barnyard stink after you wash them.  If it's an overnight diaper then it's expected to have a strong pee smell in the morning, as long as it's not an ammonia stink.

This is what I was thinking. But I expected more of a pee smell than barnyard. They definitely smell like nothing when they are clean...

Ammonia or pee smell may be expected after a while if you're using synthetic fabrics and it's an overnight diaper.  But a barnyard smell does typically mean you're not using enough detergent.  Doesn't matter when the smell occurs, the significant part is that particular smell.
