First off, i am very sorry to everyone here who has sufferred this loss. It is nice to see caring people on this board. I had posted on another board here 2weeks ago when i was having strange symptoms and other expectant mothers were quite awful towards me in their responses. But my hope is to find some support here. I spent easter in the hospital with severe bleeding/hemmorhidging. It was the scariest experience as i was alone and out of town until my boyfriend could get there. I knew nothing about how serious a miscarriage could be. I would strongly suggest anyone who has brown spotting for days to get checked out. I thought it was an irregular period due to traveling but saturday it turned to bright red clotting and Sunday morning i bled thru 10 pads in 2 minutes. Went on for 7 hours. 2 days later i am exhausted and on way to dr for tests now. Dreading going back to work tomorrow. Headache is awful and mentally can only hanle talking to 1 person(boyfriend). Also am starving constantly. Probably from the iron loss? Sorry for going on, just very confused. I hope to be more coherant in my next post! Thank you and please everyone treat yourself so extra well this next month.
Re: Suffered serious symptoms from miscarriage. Feel numb
Thanks so much to all. I know everyone here knows too well this experience.
Dr. appt. lasted about 5 minutes yesterday for follow up. She answered all my 12 questions but seemed so rushed. Thinking about changing doctors. She didn't think the hemmoridging (can't spell) at the hospital for so many hours was any big deal. She said, "well, that is a miscarriage". She told me at my age it was nature's way of getting the down syndrome baby out of the way first and now I can move on to a healthy pregnancy next. ??? I don't know. This whole experience still has me feeling shocked. I never knew a miscarriage was as horrific as all this. Hopefully though we have been through the worst. The throbbing headache I read is caused by hcg dropping and the anemia I have from the blood loss.
Seems crazy I have gotten all of my advice, nutritional tips from online versus my own doctor!
Thanks to all again -- all we can do is treat ourselves extra well. (but boy, it really sux being back at work today.. I haven't spoken one word).
