DD has had pooping issues for at least 6 months now. Constipation, trouble going, etc. After trying other things, we did start giving her Miralax, but honestly, I hate giving it to her and I would rather find some natural remedies to make her regular. And if we keep up with the Miralax, we probably need to up the dosage because she is still having problems. She is a good eater, so she eats fruits and vegtables, whole grains, so I really don't know what we could change in her diet to help it (we are limiting milk, cheese as well). I have tried those fiber gummies, but I don't know that they helped much. She also takes a acidophilus chewable and drinks prune juice in the morning. Any ideas? She potty trained really quickly with pee, but if we don't get this pooping problem under control I don't think she will be fully trained for awhile because it is like she is scared to poop at all right now.
Re: Need Ideas Getting DD Regular
I see you tried Fiber Gummies and Miralax. My DD has the worst constipation problems. Have you tried to give her more Fiber Gummies then what it says on the bottle? That is what I have done and it helps DD's stools soften. Miralax didn't work, nor did Karo syrup.
Fleet Brand Fiber Gummies have been the best but I recently changed over to some that are 5g per 2 Gummies. I will see how this does since the store was out of the Fleet brand...
DD Loves fiber one bars! Try these too!
I 2nd the idea of upping the fiber gummies intake.
DS had pooping issues in the past( had to go see a specialist b/c of blood in stool) and he just recommended more fruits and veggies, but I see you have already tried that.
Someone on here suggested the fiber gummies and they have worked really well for DS. He hasnt had anymore issues since being on them. We have the ones with the little penguin on the bottle (cant remember the name of it, sorry).
Yes this is the Fleet brand with the penguin!
