I thought it was a name on its own, but I don't think it's usually spelled Maevyn...? I thought it was Maevin or Maeven. Or maybe I'm just thinking of Maeve, lol.

Meyvn was the closest that I found to Maevyn and it the Yiddish spelling of the word maven/mavin. It means "the one who knows or understands." Freak was also one of the alternate definitions for maven on merriam-webster.com.
