Maevyn?

Is Maevyn a "real" name or a mash-up (Maeve + Evelyn?) I saw it on an online hospital nursery but I don't get much when I Google it.

I thought it was a name on its own, but I don't think it's usually spelled Maevyn...? I thought it was Maevin or Maeven. Or maybe I'm just thinking of Maeve, lol.

Meyvn was the closest that I found to Maevyn and it the Yiddish spelling of the word maven/mavin. It means "the one who knows or understands." Freak was also one of the alternate definitions for maven on merriam-webster.com.

Ok. I figured as much. With the complicated (to me) Welsh and Gaelic spellings, I wasn't quite sure.

It looks like someone liked the name Megan and decided to swap out the "g" for a "v" and then got carried away substituting other letters.  Yikes.
