A rash from molars??

JT has had a rash for over a week now and today it's the worst. It kind of hovers right around where the top of the diaper is, but today it's on his thighs and up to his chest. He might have a slight fever but he's been gnawing on his finger on one side of his mouth and drooling like a wh0re in church. He's been a crank and lots of crying all night last night....anyone else see rashes with molar teething???

Please say yes. I have the 15m appointment next week and I really don't want to go in for a sick one this week then back again next week. I feel like such a neurotic mom with how much I go there. It's bad.

I wonder if its just dry skin or excema (sp?!)  I've heard of a drool rash around the mouth, or maybe the chest, but not covered like that.

I'll be curious to see what other people say. I would def at least call the nurses line. He isnt eating anything new? Im no doctor and never faced this, so I could be waaay off. lol

On the chest and legs sounds like eczema. We use hydrocortizone on Sam for that. The drool and finger in the mouth sounds just like Sam right now, and he is barely eating and pooping a lot, hence his red bum. Doc said it was those pesky molars trying to break through. He is a pleasant teether... until now. He has fevers and is a crankass.

I'll call the nurses tomorrow and get their opinion...my mom had me convinced it was molars but after the responses here...guess it might not be ;(

Let us know what you find out. I don't have experience with excema or rash with teething for either of my kids. I have to agree with PP's though, it doesn't sound like a teething rash.
