Video Monitor Questions

I need some input on what you all are using. Right now we have a summer infant slim and secure video monitor for DS. We need to get a camera for DS#2 as well. Can we just buy a second camera for the summer infant and will it scan between the two rooms? Is there a better video monitor system for scanning more than one room?

The Slim & Secure can accommodate up to 4 cameras. We have 2 cameras currently, 1 in DS's room and 1 in DD's room. You can easily scan between the 2 rooms.

It's tricky though because you have to let it scan all 4 cameras the 1st cycle so the monitor can "know" what cameras are on. Once it sees what cameras are on it will only scan between those. 

I love this monitor! It's really easy and works well. I definitely wouldn't buy a new monitor, I would just buy a 2nd camera for the one you already have. Check Ebay... that have really good deals!

I just ordered the same extra camera about 5 mins before reading your post. Surprisingly it was cheaper at Babies R Us (online anyway) than on Amazon. Those are the only 2 places I checked, but thought I'd add that in there.

This is exactly why  I was itching to get it. I  had emailed Summer Infant to see if the model number mattered on the extra camera and they offered to sell me one- for $110 bucks!!!!! I definitely went with Babies R us on that one!
