Placenta pills, I'm wired!

Gah...I started my placenta encapsulation pills today and now I'm wired! But physically my body is a wreck so I don't have an outlet for this energy. Loving my sleepy newborn time but my mind is racing so I can't focus. I feel like that episode of Saved By The Bell where Jesse is taking speed to get good grades (yes I'm dating myself).

Anyone else experience this?

lol that reminds me of the time I decided to take SlimQuick.  I swear, I didn't blink for the entire 3 days I was on those pills.

Mine came with instructions not to take them in the evening because they usually give you a jolt of energy.

Interesting, I hadn't heard about this side effect.  And yes, I remember that episode!

Haven't heard I it but it makes sense. In 1st trimester I always get hit with weird bouts of insomnia, must be hormonally related. Congrats on your new LO, love her name!

How interesting.  I am currently taking the pills, and haven't had this energy serge of which you speak.  I could have used it too!

According to what i've read (https://www.brooklynplacentaservices.com/faq.html) the way dehydration method can have something to do with it.  Apparently the bursts of energy are in conjunction with the raw dehydration method.  Very good to know since this could be extremely useful

you can always just chop it up, freeze the pieces, and put them in a smoothie. same wonderful effect of restoration for your body, but without the speedy feeling. raw ingestion doesn't last as long, though...about 2-3 weeks, depending on how much you eat each day.

I'm not as big a fan of raw ingestion, but I may end up doing it anyways because I feel it's worth it. It'd be funny to see the looks on everyones faces that I live with.
