Happy Monday! Two pics today from me, since I missed posting this last week!
LO's Age? One week shy of 1 year!
Favorite food? She is suddenly becoming picky - she used to eat everything (we BLW), but now she mostly loves cheese and breads/pancakes/waffles. Hopefully the pickyness is just a phase
What kind of cake for birthday? I am going to make a whole grain coconut cake for her birthday
Best moment of the past year? Probably seeing her smile/laugh for the first time. I still say that her laugh is the best sound in the entire world
Worst/scariest moment of the past year? When we got her diagnosis of vesicoureteral reflux and knowing that she will have to have surgery this summer
Have a great week!
Re: Baby Pic Monday 4/9/2012
From our little Easter photoshoot yesterday. I couldn't believe he kept the hat on.
LO's Age? One year and 2 weeks
Favorite food? We seem to have taken a few steps back as far as eating (there was quite a bit of gagging and puking this weekend). One thing he loves no matter what is black beans - he will double fist those things into his mouth.
What kind of cake for birthday? He had a white cake with very bright green frosting (my attempt at his dinosaur cake). It didn't matter what kind it was - he wasn't interested in eating the cake and just licked the icing off his fingers.
Best moment of the past year? Probably hearing his first big belly laugh when he thought something was funny. No matter how bad of a day I've had, if I hear a big laugh out of him is makes it all better
Worst/scariest moment of the past year? When he was sick last month. I'm so used to him being a total spazz, so when he was all lethargic and sad it was very upsetting.
LO's Age? He turned 1 year on 4/4/12.
Favorite food? He seems to like everything... He still LOVES peas.
What kind of cake for birthday? I just bought chocolate mini-cupcakes from the WalMart bakery. I figured a mini-cupcake would be a decent size, and I taught night classes on his birthday, so I was only going to be home for three hours between classes.
Best moment of the past year? Maybe watching him be amazed by everything at the zoo.
Worst/scariest moment of the past year? I was so loopy on Percocet post-C-section that I don't think I should have been home alone with him :-(
Mac and cheese lover!
hunting eggs yesterday
LO's Age? She will be 1 on Thursday!
Favorite food? Her favorite right now is corn!
What kind of cake for birthday? I had a regular cake made for her party. She loved the icing!
Best moment of the past year? watching her learn new things and then get so proud of herself once she mastered it!
Worst/scariest moment of the past year? We have been blessed this year.. I guess the worst moment was/is teething!
I have to share a few.
After the Easter church service.
Birthday pics at Sears!
LO's Age? Her first birthday was on Thursday of last week.
Favorite food? She likes a lot of foods. I'll go with taco meat, sweet potatoes, green beans, and mango to name something from each food group.
What kind of cake for birthday? Just regular ol' yellow cake. There will be cupcakes, but she'll get an actual small smash cake. The theme is "You are my Sunshine" so her cake will look like a sunshine.
Best moment of the past year? One best moment?? I'll say HUGS. She gives the best squeezes and presses her face into mine. She closes and squints her eyes and smiles all the while.
Exhibit A:
Worst/scariest moment of the past year? The night before/morning of her tear duct surgery.
Feeding the ducks (or eating the bread while the adults fed the ducks)
LO's Age? 11 Days till she's 1!
Favorite food? She loves all bread, beans, and pasta's. Mac and Cheese is a big favorite of hers.
What kind of cake for birthday? At her party it will be a costco cake, on her birthday it will be a boxed mix (I haven't picked it up yet so not sure what kind).
Best moment of the past year? This is so hard, anytime I watch her discover something for the first time.
Worst/scariest moment of the past year? When I heard her falling down the stairs. She cried for maybe a minute and then was perfectly fine...but I was freaked out.LO's Age? 1 year, 2 weeks
Favorite food? Cheddar bunnies, kiwi, anything that's on my plate, even though it usually the same food.
What kind of cake for birthday? Homemade red velvet
Best moment of the past year? That first laugh, or smile, or the first time I saw him crawl--he saw me come through the door at DC to pick him up, and just up and crawled all the way to me--, or the first moment I held him, or when I got to see him after his surgery, and he was fine, or ...I can't pick.
Worst/scariest moment of the past year? Handing him over to the anesthesiologist when he had his hernia repair and fearing that I would never see him again.BFP#1 "Watermelon" born 3/2011
BFP#2 "Pumpkin" 7/14/12 ~ EDD 3/23/13 ~ Natural M/C 8/3/12 @ 7 weeks
BFP#3 "Pineapple" born 4/2013

Here is Liam on Easter!
LO's Age? He is going to be one in 10 days!
Favorite Food? He is starting to become picky. The boy loves mac and cheese. He is also a big fan of peas. Avocado is still on the top of the list. Liam loves his carbs...
What kind of cake for birthday? I am making dinosaur themed cupcakes. I have yet to decide the flavor
Best moment of the past year? Holding him for the first time, hearing him belly laugh, seeing him smile, and having him finally sleep through the night ;p
Worst/scariest moment of the past year? The first month of his life when he would not gain weight. I was so upset every time I went to the pedi. and I had a meltdown at my lactation consultant's office. He struggled, but once he reached birth weight he never went back!
It has been a great year!
Lucy with Daddy while he was home in-between deployment. She's wearing her Sabre's jersey for him, our favorite hockey team!
Mommy and Lucy on Easter!
LO's Age? She was 1 year on April 7th!
Favorite Food? She loves everything...her favorites are blueberries, grapes, pasta and sauce, Goldfish and those freeze dried yougart snacks.
What kind of cake for birthday? My sister made Lucy her smash cake, it was an angel food cake with strawberries and a whipped topping frosting.
Best moment of the past year? Nursing her to sleep as a little baby, hearing her first real laugh, seeing her smile for the first time, there are too many to count...
Worst/scariest moment of the past year? We've been very lucky this first year, no real super scary moments...I'd say the only thing that comes close is when I tried to cut her fingernails the first time and cut into her little finger. It was the worst feeling ever!
