still in pain.. is this normal?

Is it normal to be in pain days after a natural m/c? I had a natural m/c on Thursday at home... started at work, then the OB office and finished at home. Now I am still in pain. I have what I believe is normal period cramps which I can handle because I think I have my usual period now. Does it come that quickly? My sister in law said when she had a m/c her period stared immeditately.... anyways, I also have this sharp pain on my left side. It goes up my side, starting at my abdomen. It comes and goes and I have been taking over the counter pain medicine for it. When I have it I can barely move or walk. I am also still drained and need to sit alot. Not sure how I am suppose to last at work where I am on my feet for atleast 10 hours a day.

I have a follow appointment tomorrow to check that the m/c is complete so I am holding off until then to talk with the doctor. I was just wondering if this is normal or if maybe something else is wrong too. This was my first m/c.

Thanks. I think I will wait until I have my appointment tomorrow. At the current moment I am ok. It comes and goes. I even checked online to see which side my appendix was on because I thought maybe it was a whole other issue... but thats on the other side. My mom said I probably strained a muscle. I am hoping thats all it is and nothing more serious.
