How long did you bleed?

Hi, all.  I had my miscarriage at about 5 weeks 3 days while on vacation in Paris (yes, our second night of a 12 night trip, had to go to French hospital, not ideal romantic vacation).  I had bleeding on and off, i.e. sometimes practicallly nothing then major gushing. The last few days have been very heavy with extra cramping.  I thought since I was so early into the pregnancy that this would be wrapping up soon, but it's been over two weeks.  I go in tomorrow for another HCG level, my last one was done at the hospital.  Just wondering for others who have had relatively early miscarriages if this seems normal?

 I know it will probably be a while before this isn't the first thing I think of when I wake up, but I keep thinking it will be easier once the physical symptoms go away.

When I miscarried, I spotted bright red for 3 days, and bled heavily for 7 days, then had another 3 days of spotting. I know some women bleed for longer... I'm so sorry for your loss

Thanks ladies.  I'll be able to talk to my doctor later today, but I was having a tough time yesterday with all the bleeding and cramping.

I bled for 5 weeks just about. It was heavier than a period the first week, and then it was like a heavy period flow for about a week after and then it tapered off more or less. I had really bad cramping the first week and then nothing after.

Call your doctor though if you feel that anything that's going on may be unusual. Or even just for reassurance.
