Shaving question

Normally after I shave my bikini area I put on some hydrocortizone cream to keep the red bumps away.   It is a class c drug and I don't really want to use it.   Any ideas of what I can use to help keep irritation at bay?

I use a lot of antibacterial soap and baby powder.

They make a blue gel that you can use while shaving that helps. I just can't remember what its called. Sorry!!

Deodorant!  I know it sounds crazy, but after trying all the bikini line products out there - I read somewhere that strippers use deodorant to stop ingrowns/razor burn - so I gave it a try.  Huge difference!   Thank you, exotic dancers!  Lol

I just don't shave my bikini line haha. Not worth all the ingrowns I get while pregnant. Plus, I won't be able to see down there soon anyway.

I think you're referring to Bikini Zone.  That stuff is amazing.  There is a shave gel and there's one that you put on after shaving.  I think the one for afterwards works much better than the shave gel.  You can usually find it at CVS.

yes deodorant is best! i think it works like heaven after shaving!

Try to exfoliate the area every day for about 2 weeks after shaving - you can use an exfoliating product like an apricot scrub, or you can use a loofah or a brush (or both)

I use the shaving gel and the after loation and using both tends to help then just using one, sometimes i use regulaar loation like lubriderm instead of the after shave.

i'll have to try the deoderant though

I actually just ordered a hard wax kit off amazon so I can establish a good waxing routine before I get so big I can no longer find my girlie bits to groom (which is my biggets fear!) Salon waxing is so expensive, so I figure if I can handle it for the next several months, I can save myself some cash until I'm finally forced to go back for regular appointments....or I can see if my s/o will help me out LOL.

I'm excited to try out the deodorant trick for razor bumps, genius!
