Expressed milk question

I brought a bottle for LO that was in the fridge as we were going to the zoo just in case we were somewhere I could not nurse her. I ended up not needing to use it. It was in her diaper bag (not cooled) for about 3 hrs. I got home and put it in the back in the fridge. I was wondering that since it did warm up some (I would guess pretty close to room temp) should I give it to her at her next feeding or can I freeze it?

TIA

Re: Expressed milk question

  • I would just use it, and pump around that time if you can. If you freeze it, mark it so you know not to push your luck with the same milk twice (it would be fine, but when you do use it you'd want to take it out of the fridge and use it, not take it to the zoo again. Wink

  • I'd either just give it to her right away or dump it.

  • She only eats from one side at a time. Would you pump just the side that she would be eating from next?

  • Ahh, I would love to go to the zoo!

I would definatly use it right away. Smell it first.

    Rotten milk smells terrible.

If you freeze it, I suggest next time you cut into your stash you use that one first.
