Someone who knows our IF but not in great detail got married back in Sept. and she's 38 so after six month they went to OB for help. I don't often see her so when she told me last night she was 8 weeks, it was no suprise. But then I asked about her monitoring... typical OB all she had was cd3.
I told her on clomid I always have two or three follies and about Jon and Kate plus eight. Her U/S is tuesday, I think I freaked her out that it might be twins or trips but really her OB did not inform her of anything. She didn't een think it was really a possibilty since "it's not IVF".
Makes me upset how not everyone does their own research and their doctors do not tell them alll the risks or take the right precautions!!!

I think it's more the fact that she didn't know going into it. If her doctor had warned her, then she would have known how many follies she had and she could have made the decision to go ahead or sit it out. So when I told her I always had two or three follies every single cycle on clomid she was amazed to hear that could happen. But I think it will give her a little bit of a warning so that when she goes in for the U/S on Tuesday if it is twins it's not such a total and complete shock. KWIM? I told her that twins was like an 8% chance, trips was like 3% and more was less than 1%. I warned her that I didn't remember the exact percents and this was guessing, trying to remember. And when she appeared to freak out, I calmly tried to remind her that meant she had over 85% chance of it being just one.
