Re: Already MoMs-- classes?
I'm still brewing away here, but we did take a Birthing Multiples class and I really, really enjoyed it. I have two kids already so some of it was already known by me (but not by my husband, as I had the boys with my X) but it was nice to learn the things that were feared toward multiples. It didn't focus on birthing positions or things like that that would be the same regardless of multiples either, so we would have had to take a regular class to get that.
I never took any birthing classes with my other two, so this was kind of neat as well for that reason.
The nice thing is, the LC who taught my Successful BFing class is a MoM (and very active in my local MOTC). She knew I was having twins and made sure to tell me everything I needed to know that was twin-specific as she was teaching the class. It was helpful. She taught the childbirth class too but as it turned out, we had to miss it and got the kit from her instead to go through it ourselves.
I took a marvelous multiples class and thought it was helpful. It covered problems during pregnancy, birthing and after they came home. It also had a tour of the hospital and NICU.
