did i have a D&C?

--> did I have a D&C??? --> I started cramping and bleeding heavily tuesday late evening then went to er in which i found out i was miscarrying. I was 16 weeks pregnant but they said baby stopped growing at 8 weeks. I passed what i thought was all of it early wednesday morning and then wednesday evening found was trying to pass something else for awhile so i went to er again and they said it was the placenta which they removed and used a suction thingy for blood and such. They didnt really say and ive never had one done, but was this a d&c that i had done to remove the placenta?

I went to the ER with heavy uncontrollable bleeding and they used suction and forceps to remove "tissue" from my cervix. I still ended up needing and D&C three weeks later. That doesn't sound like one but Idk.....

IMO, no.  You had suction evacuation.  D&C refers to dilation and curettage, which is when they use rods to dilate your cervix and then scrape your uterine lining out.  I hope that helps.
