Job security. ?The project he is on right now is only considered profitable if gas is $77/ barrel or more. ? If the price goes too low, consultants' contracts get canceled and budgets get cut or entire projects just go away. ?Houston thrives on the oil and gas market, so the lower the gas price, the more our economy suffers. ?Kinda weird situation to be in, right? ?You want to be able to afford gas, but also dont need DH unemployed. ?But then again, Chevron and ExxonMobil are reporting record high quarterly profits, so who can say?
