At my annual exam last week my ob checked my throid and it was apparently "alarmingly low." I have to see an endocrinologist next week to get a diagnosis and treatment options. My ob said this could just be a side effect of the pregnancy, but I didn't have any issues after my singleton. Did anyone else have any thyroid issues following your multiple pregnancy?
Re: thyroid issues after twin pregnancy?
It is really common for women to have thyroid trouble after pregnancy, especially if you are older than 30. I don't know if having a multiple pregnancy is even rougher on the thyroid, but it may be.
My mom's thyroid went all wonky after my baby brother was born (20 years ago). She was like a new person when she started the medicine. She had so much more energy that it was insane! I hope you feel better soon too.
