5 Weeks Pregnant

Are any of your hubbies afraid to have sex?

Re: sex

  • HI, I'm pregnant with my third baby and my husband is still afraid to have sex. He is afraid he might hurt the baby, which is inaccurate. It is physically impossible, believe me I asked. Have your OB explain it to him maybe that'll convince him :)

  • I wish my husband was afraid to have sex. These days I can just look at him and all systems go. I have absolutely NO interest in having sex at this point.
  • hi! this is my second pregnancy and as soon as I start to show.. he becomes my best friend or rommie.. it is frustrating that he does'nt understand the importance of still feeling pretty and sexy... men!

  • My husband is not afraid to have sex, but I am.  Any advice?

  • I haven't had my first appt yet (have to wait until May 2 when I will be 8 wks), but I talked to a nurse bec. I had a few questions - such as this one.  She said it is perfectly safe to have sex unless you are bleeding.  It does freak me out a little too though.
  • Trust me once you have bled from sex during pregnancy one time... you will never want to do it again. Not to mention not allowed. On "pelvic rest" which is fancy for no nooky till further notice!

LOL he must be related to mine. I remember after we had our first, literally home from the hospital not even 24 hours--I had had a csection--and he was looking to get some nookie.

  • My husband is ready to go, but I am to scared.  Mostly bc I miscarried my last pregnancy and started bleeding after sex.  I wish I was emotionally okay to, but I am to scared.
  • Me too! That is what happened last time and I am so afraid to have se now! He doesn't seem to understand, which stinks.
  • This is my second pregnancy and my husband has crazy anxiety about hurting the baby or traumatizing the baby during sex!!!  I have tried and tried to tell him that it's fine...we even talked to the Dr. but it's just something that he has in his head that he won't let go of!  You are not alone!!!  Good luck :)

  • I was but tried tonight and everything was fine.

  • This is our first pregnancy and both my husband and I are scared, so I guess it's good we're on the same page, although of course we love sex. We think we might have a little more peace after our 7 week appointment and even more so after the 1st trimester. I'm sure the second trimester might be the only time we do.. who knows.. depending on how "in the mood" we are, it could all change!

  • Please don't be. I am currently pregnant with our second child and have also had a miscarriage. It didn't matter whether we had sex or not in regards to whether the baby came to full term. So relax and enjoy!!!
  • My husband and I are not afraid to have sex during pregnancy.  The doctor gave the ok.  The problem is that when I'm pregnant my cervix moves way down.  Sex becomes very uncomfortable (especially for him) when he keeps banging into it.

    Anybody else have this problem?

  • 5 weeks along also... and there's not stopping mine! He's always been a horn-dog, and this isn't helping! :) He says he's even more turned on that I'm pregnant. So far, no pain or anything, so I'm gonna try to keep up as long as I can! Just think of this way, when you orgasm your body releases all kinds of good-feeling chemicals, so those must be good for baby too!
