We are not bringing this up on here again. Whats done is done. Like I said in my other post, it should not have been brought to TB- and it was brought here in anger.
Usually the cache will only show up on a particular thread after 24 hours from the first time it's posted, and frequently with DDs the last few replies will get clipped. But yeah, useful little tool. The google FAQ explains it in far more detail with graphics and stuff if you're interested.
Ok, obviously something terrible went down, but I'll let my curiosity go. Um, may I join the Facebook group if there is still a group, I notice it's REALLY quiet (most of the time) over here anymore.
Re: and that was that.
am I really going there? Or am I one with a great imagination?

ROSIE B CHEEKS.
MY BLOOD PRESSURE IS UP LIKE CRAZY. THIS SHYTE IS BANANAS.
Basically, google runs around the internet and creates a cache of a page. The cache is a snapshot frozen in time. For instance, if you google site:thebump.com january 2011, it'll have a link to this page. But, if you roll over the arrows to the right of the link, it'll bring up the preview of the page, with the link in green, and near that green link is a little blue link, labelled 'cache'. For the jan 11 page, here's the cached version from last week: https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:Dxu5kTZCIa4J:community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/8316674/ShowForum.aspx+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a
