Trouble TTC

Headache anyone?

I took Clomid days 3-7 this cycle. I had no side effects whatsoever the first time I took it. I really don't think that the Clomid has anything to do with these nasty headaches I'm getting since it's cd23 or something. Anyone else ever had crazy horrible headaches (borderline migraine material) post ovulation? I'm wondering if it's hormonal or stress related. At one point yesterday my vision was almost impaired....horrible feeling.

Re: Headache anyone?

  • It could be related to progesterone, but if you've never had a progesterone-related (post-O) headache, I am leaning toward it being the Clomid. Even though you are awhile out from your last pill, Clomid is still very much in your system. I would call your doctor, b/c visual disturbances is not a good sign when taking Clomid. It is one of the side effects that my RE has said to call him immediately about.

  • I had headaches with Clomid, but never any issues with impaired vision. My RE said if  I had any vision issues then to call immediately. You should call your RE's office.

  • Yes I had horrible headaches for about a week starting CD20 during clomid/IUI #1. They went away after AF started.

  • I'm a seasoned migraneur so probably giving you more info then you want. Bad weather where you are? I get (and have one now actually) crazy horrendous migraines from bad weather- its the changes in the barometric pressure.  As far as progesterone I actually found the lack of progesterone caused migraines for me. Therefore the beginning of the cycle is when migraines where the worst, and post O (when your p4 is high) is the best my migraines are.  Hope you feel better! Im there with you today
