IT took my daughter 1 day but every child is different. I kept running her to the potty and now she just goes on her own and doesn't always tell me she has to go.
My nephew it took a little while too. Maybe boys it takes a little longer? or maybe it just depends on the child.
every child is different so just keep positively reinforcing when he does go and it will be alright
Sooo tough!!!
Keep talking to him saying things like "you are peeing" so he connects peeing with what he is feeling.

He'll get it. He sounds like he is on his way.
BTW I am still in the thick of this myself. We are trying to deal with the poopy issue now.
