how do you re-use your swiffer wetjet?

i read somewhere on here that you could get a microfiber replacement head and put vinegar/water in the bottle. Where can I get a microfiber head and how the heck do I open the bottle to fill it with vinegar?

Thanks.

  • I'm not sure about the bottle but I know you can search etsy they will have some replacement heads. hth!

  • I've done it. The Omop microfiber head from Method fits on the swiffer wet jet. It's a little longer but you could either trim it down or I just loop it over and it sticks to the scrubby attachment on the top of the wetjet.

My husband took the top off the the bottle with a wrench. He basically just twisted the crap out of it until it popped off. Now I can pop it on and off when I want. After a while it did start to leak when it's attached to the wetjet (I noticed when it was empty and the floor of the area I store it was wet) but it's not a big deal - I just take the bottle off the wetjet when I store it now.

  • If you run hot water over the lid, it will come off easier with the pliers.  I refilled mine once, but then I went back to a spray bottle and my microfiber mop.  I don't remember why I didn't like it, though.
  • Thank you, that did the trick! I plan to use it to pick up little spills, I am worried it might leak as a pp mentioned.

  • I like using a micro fiber cloth (3M Scotchbrite make a head and micro cloth) and then just using a quirt bottle to go around and clean our floors. Method also makes the O mop, but I think it's kind of flimsy.
